The Pinder Trust is a registered charity and provided most of the funds to build the Pinder Hydrotherapy Pool in the Winchester Sport and Leisure Park. The Pinder Trust may be able to help those having difficulty affording much needed aquatic physiotherapy (hydrotherapy) treatment. Please let me know if this applies to you and I will put you in contact with them.
What to expect
Your first appointment will be a 45mins and a combination of land and water based assessment.
Your physiotherapist will start by discussing your injury or condition, then look at your function and movement in order to plan the most appropriate treatment in the pool.
The second part of this initial session would then be in the water with your physiotherapist.
Follow up treatment sessions are 30mins in the water with your physiotherapist where your treatment will be continuously reviewed and progressed as appropriate.
What you will need to bring:
Swimwear, towel and any toiletries.
The changing rooms have lockers which require a returnable £1 for use.
If you need assistance with personal care please attend with a carer. A member staff will be available to help with hoisting into the pool if required.
